Kharkiv National Medical University
Kharkiv National Medical University was founded in the year 1805 as the Medical Faculty of Kharkiv University. The university was earlier known by the names Kharkiv Medical Institute, Kharkiv State Medical University & then in the year 2007, it’s name was finally changed to Kharkiv National Medical University. The university is one of the oldest & the most prestigious medical colleges in Ukraine. KNMU, Kharkiv works under the governance of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine & Ministry of Education & Science of Ukraine. It is also recognized by WHO (World Health Organization) & NMC (National Medical Commission). Several renowned ministers, members of parliament & scientists have been students at university. The university has been granted level IV accreditation from Ministry of Education & Science of Ukraine which is the highest level a university can attain for teaching. At present, more than 7,000 students are studying in Kharkiv National Medical University in various fields.
